A2MG News Release

A2MG, Inc. adds High-Tech 3 axis profile machining center

KANSAS CITY – A2MG, Inc. has purchased a new Elumatec SBZ 122/30 CNC machining center for its fabrication facility. The machine allows for Five (5) sided processing of extrusions. Quite simply the extrusions are loaded into the machine and are drilled, slotted, notched etc. on top, front, rear or both ends. It has an automatic tool change capability with Five (5) tool holders for Four (4) milling tools and One (1) rotating angle head.

According to Vern Keeth, Vice President of Glass Operations, this machine not only greatly increases efficiencies in the shop, but also allows for more consistency in the final product produced. “With this machine our CAD department, as well as our Fabricators can create programs for the precise drilling and machining that need to be made”, Keeth said, “rather than having to manually lay it out multiple times in the shop, saving time as well as increasing quality and consistency.”
